Open Tasks in Code to browse issues and pull requests. The two tabs have different data sources.

Issues

The Issues tab lists items synced from your selected connection resources. Search and filter the list, then open an item for its detail. Link resources to a project to narrow task context to the relevant repository or team. Attach an issue to a workspace prompt when you want the agent to work from it. Issue data is a local snapshot. Refresh it with a manual sync or Auto Sync when you need current tracker information.

Pull requests

The Pull requests tab fetches GitHub data live. It shows state, checks, author, and diff size. Filter to requests that involve you, need your review, were reviewed by you, or were authored by you. Selected repositories on the GitHub connection provide the default scope. When no repositories are selected, the inbox can fall back to PRs involving your GitHub user. Open a PR to inspect its description, comments, review threads, checks, merge status, and diff. See Pull request review.

Provider connections

The GitHub connection used by Tasks is separate from the gh authentication used to create a PR through Git actions. Work and Chat do not show the Code Tasks navigation.
